PAINTED WOODEN FRAMES

For the perfect finish of our frames, we use the water-soluble ecological varnishes of the companies: REMMERS, SIKKENS and ADLER of excellent quality, with specifications of high requirements. They are distinguished for their long-term resistance to the most adverse weather conditions due to their high elasticity and for their excellent protection of UV filters. Also, due to their high water content, they are odorless, non-toxic, waterproof and resistant to distortions and contractions – dilations.

PAINTING STEP-BY-STEP

For our wooden frames we use electrostatic painting, inside the state-of-the-art robotic paint shop of international standards. The advantages of electrostatic painting are the high quality as well as the homogeneity even in the most inaccessible parts of the window. We use advanced paint materials, specially adapted to the Mediterranean and especially to the Greek climatic conditions. The paints are fully certified.

The painting steps that we follow are the most suitable for painting exterior frames

  • FIRST STEP OF IMPERFECTION WITH FUNGICIDES, CONSERVATIVES, PAINT WITH THE FLOW-COATING PROCESS.
  • DRYING IN SPECIAL THERMAL CAMPS FOR ONE HOUR.
  • PRIMER – SECOND STAGE OF CATALIZATION
  • DISCHARGE FROM SPECIALIZED ARTISTS
  • ELECTROSTATIC PAINTING IN ROBOTIC PAINTING, WITH WATER-SOLUBLE MATERIALS (PAINTS – VARNISHES), WITH ROUND ABOUT SYSTEM EXCLUSIVELY DESIGNED FOR
  • DRYING IN SPECIAL THERMAL CHAMBER
  • QUALITY CONTROL

The above painting process is carried out under perfectly controlled environmental conditions, both in terms of temperature and humidity, ensuring the quality and durability of the products produced.

MECHANISMS – GLASSES – TIRES

The mechanisms we use in our wooden frames are from distinguished German companies, which have the ability to lock around the perimeter in multiple places.

Our frames are sealed with rubbers that are placed around the perimeter of the wooden frame in special flanges, thus ensuring every possibility of heat loss, and contribute to a better sound insulation.

Double glazing, heat-insulating, which in their gap contain Argon gas for protection from ultraviolet rays.

ADHESIVES

Our adhesives are certified according to EN204 / 205 moisture resistance and heat resistance according to EN14257 (watt 91), (iftRosenheim).

PERFORMANCE OF WOODEN FRAMES AND DOORS

Our wooden frames are designed to create and ensure maximum insulation from the cold of winter and the heat of summer, protection from noise pollution, resistance to wind pressure and water penetration.

Technical performance is the result of a number of different parameters:

  • THE SIZE OF THE WOODEN WINDOW OR WOODEN DOOR
  • THE PROFILE USED
  • THE TYPE OF WOOD TO BE USED
  • THE TYPE OF GLASS USED

The combination of these elements determines the characteristics of wooden windows or wooden doors in terms of thermal and acoustic insulation, air and water permeability, and resistance to deformation by wind. In the table below we give examples of performance.

GLASS

Research in the field of glass is constantly evolving, achieving amazing results in improving the performance of wooden windows and doors in the field of thermal insulation. The reference standards are EN 1026 and UNIEN 12207

AIR PERMINATION

This expresses the degree to which a closed window allows air to penetrate inside in conditions where there is a pressure difference between indoor and outdoor. There are 4 categories, with the “4th” recording the highest percentage of protection. The reference standards are EN 1026 and UNIEN 12207.

AIR RESISTANCE

The construction capacity of a wooden window, under high air pressure, to maintain the wall pierces the window pierces the pierces piles piles piles piles piles piles piles piles piles piles piles piles piles piles piles piles piles piles piles piles piles piles piles. The highest category of wind pressure resistance is “C 5”. The reference standards EN 12211 and UNIENISO 12210.

THERMAL INSULATION

The reference standard is UNIENISO 10077-2.

SOUND INSULATION

This is the passive noise resistance that the wooden windows offer. The reference standard is UNIENISO 14351-1

WATERPROOFING

The outflow of water from the outside to the inside. The watertightness is scaled into 9 categories with the “9th” indicating that the wooden window or door is constructed to prevent water leakage in conditions where the wind speed is estimated at 600 Pascal. The reference standards EN 1027 and UNIEN 12208.

Frame Wood

The frames are made of specially selected wood, industrial and heat treated, which meets all the technical requirements (humidity, density, etc.) and meets all specifications.

The profiles of the frames are made of sawn wood, industrial processing and construction. With the use of sawn timber, the elimination of any technical problem, the stabilization and the non-distortion of the wood has been achieved. Thus, the frames have the best possible quality and durability.
